    Arrearage childsupport payments and adoption
    Hi, I have a friend who has a daughter he does not get to see yet he pays childsupport faithfully, her mother wants her currant husband to adopt the child but still wants the birth father to continue to pay arreagage child support. Is this legally acceptable?

    Yes, back child support would be due and payable, since that was due for past years not paid.

    It is common to have all of those monies droped for the rights to be signed over. But why does he not visit, 'does not get to see' is not an excuse, it is a reason to go back to court to force visits.
