    Light & remote not working
I installed a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan w/remote. It worked fine for 6 months, until I recently tried to turn o the light with the remote and it would not turn on or chage speeds on the fan. So I thought the batteries were bad & replaced them, but that was not the problem. I can still chage speeds on the fan with the chain, but I can't get the light to work at all.

Since the fan has pullchains, remove the receiver and wire the fan without it and see how everything works.
