    You have to understand. First of all, this is a global website, so few are in your location. Second of all, we are all volunteers here and are not necessarily licensed attorneys, let alone attorneys who are familiar with your local laws.

    Rather than giving you misleading information, it is best that you stay in contact with your attorney and not let outside information influence you.

    Ok, may not like it, but I worked for the US Justice Department for years, went to law school, and worked for a short time in Ill.

    What I told you is the issue.

    They may keep the items till there is a trial, and it is used as evidence, or until the case is dropped, That can take months ( at least) and up to the time statue of limitation for the crime runs out.
