    Hello Dennis:

No, it doesn't mean you're wrong. It means that you can't do any more damage, and there's a BIG mess to clean up.

What I have seen is that-
Conservative policies generally emphasize empowerment of the individual to solve problems.(adults)

Liberal policies generally emphasize the need for the government to solve people's problems.(babies)

More of that, from real life observation:
I think the liberals are living in the nonsensical world.
I really don't know how people are liberals. I would literally fell sickened with myself if I knew that my vote was for murdering babies, letting the American family lose it's values and break down by gay people(which is against god's law) or that it make us surrender to one of the most sickening groups to ever come on this planet and possibly let another attack happen. Also not let people be responsible and be babied by the government taking up evrybody's money, wanting the government grow dangerously large and just everything they stand for. I'm really not trying to be insulting but it honestly doesn't make sense to me.

Well, I need to be back to work now. I must work hard so the liberals won't have to!

How nice that liberal policies make you sick; I'm not a liberal, but your post sort of makes me sick.

murdering babies That's your opinion and you are trying to take away a woman's right to choose what she can and cannot do with HER body. That makes me sick.

against god's law Who's god? Your god? What about my god? What about no god? What about how god isn't supposed to enter into our government? What about the evidence which says children are not harmed by being raised in homosexual households? You probably hate single mothers, too. Boy, that REALLY makes me sick.

I'm really not trying to be insulting but it honestly doesn't make sense to me.
That's because you aren't allowing yourself to think of things objectively or put yourself in someone else's shoes. Common among fundies, repubs, dems.. the list goes on.

    /threadjack and rant over

    To the original post:

All politicians are corrupt. They remain in office because no one votes. Americans treat voting as a chore, not a right, and as a result, we get a govt full of morally bankrupt people - on both sides. My cousin's wife's family votes republican NO MATTER WHAT. They don't care about the issues, they only care that the conservatives are in power. I know someone else who won't vote for a candidate if they aren't white and their spouse isn't American. How can we expect to have a functioning govt if people are voting for the person with the best hair instead of what they stand for?

    excon,

If Republican/Conservative values are being so soundly rejected, as you claim, then how come the vast majority of Dems that took seats away from Republicans in 2006 did so by running to the RIGHT of those Republicans?

    Just wondering.

As usual, Chou, your post has little to do with the topic at hand. We're talking about politicians and you're talking about Ann Coulter.

Nor is Coulter's position particularly hypocritial from a Christian standpoint. From her point of view, the only way to be a complete human being is to accept Jesus. She's just following that through to the logical conclusion. I happen to disagree with that belief as a matter of dogma. However, that is different from saying that her position is hypocritical.

If instead she had said that all Jews need to be forcibly converted to Christianity or else be killed, THAT would be anti-semitic. But she didn't say that, did she.

So as usual, you mix apples and oranges, as well as misunderstanding what was said in the first place.

Lots of women do abortion because they feel that's a ashame to have babies before marriage.
Why? They sex before marriage! That is immoral! They know that!
And you would know how sick it is when you have to pay $15,107.50 plus 28% of the amount over 74,200 so that some of you can enjoy the welfare benefit.
I didn't grow up rich but I know how important it is to work hard, so some of you won't have to.
Oops, I can't find my wallet now. I am afraid some democrat took it! Did you see where my wallet?

In your opinion and possibly according to your religion, it is immoral to have sex outside of marriage. Many, many people feel differently. What makes this country great is we are all allowed to have opinions and do what makes us happy. YOU don't get to tell ME I'm immoral for having sex outside of marriage. Well, you can tell me, but you can't DO anything about it. Your comment on welfare, is that directed toward my remark on single mothers? I knows lots of single moms who aren't on welfare... beyond that, welfare is a whole 'nuther bucket of worms...

It's very important to work hard. It's terrible to have things handed to you your whole life. Some people need more help than others, but the ones doing the helping don't get to force their values and morals on the ones in need.

EDIT: Women have abortions for many reasons, not just shame.

    Hi NSG-

You're correct: abortion has often occurred with reckless "moral" abandonment. Also it would be by far better for dating couples to abstain from sex until after marriage. And "yes" our gov't has permitted welfare abuses far too long. You are three for three! I hope you find that wallet. G-d bless.

I didn't mention Clinton, and I still have no idea what the question is. Why are we discussing county commissioners and constables anyway? Do you have any idea where exactly a constable rates in Texas, we'd just as soon get rid of ALL of them. They draw a salary for doing nothing.

Be my guest and criticize every morally bankrupt Republican you can find, I'm with you on that. That's the difference between Democrats and Republicans, they DON'T want the scumbags around.
