Getting beyond the dogs and cats.... Kam's shallow victory
Also for now I'll put aside the claim Trump made that Kam may have been given the questions . That is almost irrelevant at this time . He walked into the lion's den again . He should've known that he would get mugged by the moderators because he always gets mugged by compliant press moderators (except when the Dems needed a reason to oust Clueless Joe ;they called on CNN to do an 'ides of March' on him ) .

ABC News is run by one of Kam's best friends . Dana Walden ;the probable future CEO of Disney ;who has been close friends of Kam and hubby Doug . She’s supported Harris’ campaigns over the years, with Federal Election Commission data showing nearly a dozen contributions from Walden to Harris over the past decade, totaling around $50,000.

She organized a virtual fundraiser for Clueless Joe and Kam in 2020 .

Kamala Harris' Big Hollywood Virtual Fundraiser Hauls In $8M (deadline.com)

Linsey Davis one of the moderators is a sorority sister with Kam.

So whatever treatment Trump got ;he should've known what was coming.

The REAL reason for debates is to convince the undecided . So questions of who won or lost cannot be answered in the immediate aftermath. Let's make it a given that the talking heads and other pundits believe Kam won. What the undecided voter thinks is what is important.

Reuters interviewed 10 people who were still unsure how they were going to vote in the Nov. 5 election before they watched the debate. Six said afterward they would now either vote for Trump or were leaning toward backing him. Three said they would now back Harris and one was still unsure how he would vote.
Some undecided voters not convinced by Harris after debate with Trump | Reuters

"There was no real meat and bones for her plan"

Even the Slimes said that undecided voters were not convinced .

In interviews with undecided voters, many of whom The Times has interviewed regularly over the last several months, they acknowledged that Ms. Harris seemed more presidential than Mr. Trump. And they said she laid out a sweeping vision to fix some of the country’s most stubborn problems.

But they also said she did not seem much different from Mr. Biden, and they wanted change.
And most of all, what they wanted to hear — and didn’t — was the fine print.
How Undecided Voters Reacted to the Harris-Trump Debate - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

Running from his basement in 2020 ,Clueless Joe was more transparent .

I'll go out on a limb and say that Americans are not stupid. Eating cats makes for clever memes . They are concerned with the economy /inflation ;the chaos at the border /immigration policy; crime .

Kam has a joy joy joy "Opportunity Economy" plan that looks very much like a redistribution plan. She can't get away from the fact that she was copilot of the disaster of the last 3 1/2 years or that she has flip flopped on many of the policies she signed her name to in 2020 and since. She has not explained the change.

But not to worry . She had her first post debate interview ............................(wait for it ).....................
    with ABC News !!!!!

When asked about her economic policies she spoke of her neighborhood's lawns when she was being raised. Then she went into a word salad .

You know, we have ambitions and aspirations and dreams, but not everyone necessarily has access to the resources that can help them fuel those dreams and ambitions,” she continued. “So when I talk about building an opportunity economy, it is very much with the mind of investing in the ambitions and aspirations and the incredible work ethic of the American people and creating opportunity for people, for example, to start a small business. My mother, you know, worked long hours, and our neighbor helped raise us, we used to call her … I still call her our second mother. She was a small business owner. I love our small business owners. I learned who they are from my childhood, and she was a community leader. She hired locally, she mentored. Our small businesses are so much a part of the fabric of our communities, not to mention, really, I think, the backbone of America’s economy.”

I cannot believe you're still supporting him, tomder! Even Fox News said, "Make no mistake about it: Trump had a bad night." Duh! He had refused to listen to his advisors before the debate, he refused to answer the questions asked but wandered into moaning about his imagined grievances and knocked the ball out of the park by repeating rumors about "childless cat ladies" and those nasty immigrants eating people's pet cats and dogs.

My sil is gradually falling into the dementia pit, and my mother died from it. I recognize the same signs in tRump. Will he even be coherent at all on November 5th?

bad night vs bad 3 1/2 years If he has dementia I'm sure his VP ;Cabinet will not cover it up and the compliant press won't run cover for him.

I see you have no response to the core issues . Look this is not a personality contest . It is not even an issue of character . There have been plenty of low lives who were effective Presidents (see JFK ; LBJ for examples in the post WWII era ) .Other Presidents have had high moral character and were ineffective leaders (see Jimmy Carter ) I may not vote for Trump . i may cast a protest vote for FK Jr mostly because my vote won't swing SC. If I lived in NC I would not have that option because my vote would matter.

Stick to policies;issues and leadership and you can't go wrong. .This is not a vote for the Bachelorette or America's Got Talent contestants .

    Great response, Tom.

KH still has not held a news conference since the DNC. She is still the candidate, the only one in many decades, who did not earn a single vote towards the dem nomination. She is still biggest flip-flopper of my lifetime. If a person can separate her hatred of Trump from the equation and, as you suggested, just look at policies, then the issue becomes much clearer.

Will he even be coherent at all on November 5th?
That's strange for you to ask that about Trump while never having asked it of Biden.

Biden, unlike arrogant and egotistical and demented tRump, never signed his name on a white stripe of the American flag.

Another one of those non-hateful comments intended to show WG's sympathy for Mr. Trump. [SARC]

The point, of course, was that of the two, Biden is the one who had to drop out because members of his own party clearly felt he was losing his mental acuity.

Maybe they should give him more protein in his pudding cups . Best Halloween costumes Friday was people in garbage man vests and babies missing a foot.
