How do I write a letter to my employer about not receiving the national minimum wage
I need help to write a letter to my employer asking for my difference in the underpaid amount of the national minimum wage to be paid back to me. Can anyone help me please with the wording. This has been for the past eleven years that I have not received the correct amount and I have really checked up on everything and I am entitled to ask for it to be repaid but don't know what to write. Help would be very much appreciated. Thank you

Please write a sample (not using company or personal names, etc.), and we will tweak it.

I am in the UK (England) and have been told to apply in writing to my employer about being underpaid for the past eleven years and to itemise everything, but I do not really understand what I have to write. I have asked them face to face but they told me they will not look into it if I do not put it in writing. I do at least a 40 hour week and have a contract.
Please can anyone suggest the wording. Thank you.

Have you figured out how much you are owed?

    Can you itemize?
