    What about for when I go to my checkup this upcoming Friday?
    Because they said I won't be able to drink anything out of a straw until a week aka Friday so can I smoke that day

    You will have to ask the dentist about smoking. It involves sucking plus the chemicals in the smoke/leaves may affect the extractions and healing in some way. Be specific about what you want to smoke.

    You really don't want to get dry socket, because the pain and the complications of infection will be much worse than the extraction itself.
    I understand that you think if you can suck through a straw, you should be able to inhale pot. And the pot will help with pain...
    Even if you get the OK to smoke, I would use a bong.

    You still have to suck the smoke in with a bong. It isn't all just inhaling through the nose, joy. It is still the same motion as a straw. Have you ever tried a bong?

    tickle, I made it clear (I thought) that IF the dentist gives the OK to suck through a straw and on a joint, that a bong will help filter out some of the potentially irritating contents of the smoke. Not talking about sucking the clot out at all.
