Fever at night starting 4 days after all 4 wisdom teeth were taken out is that normal
I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out Friday July, 27. I started getting a fever about 3 days after. I had been taking hydrocodon for the pain up until that day, when I started taking ibuprofen. The past 3 nights I've been getting fevers. There is not pain in the extraction site and I've been cleaning it as directed. Should I be worried?

I'm not a dentist or orthodontist - I provide resource information on various aspects of these fields at www.MetalMouthMedia.net. However, I and all three of my teens have had wisdom teeth removed. Our doctor always says to call him if there is a fever, so I suggest you do so. It may be nothing, but you don't want to worry. They are there to serve you, and I'm sure they'd like to know. Best wishes.

Thank you my dad and I decided to go to a clinic since the doctors offices are closed on weekends and the doc said its probably just a virus. At first he thought it was strep but seeing as how I'm on antibiotics that's pretty much impossible. He said to work on getting enough vitamin c since the antibiotics weakened my immune system. Thanks again.
