    My Chipoo ate chicken bones -- help!
    My 4 year old chipoo snuck and ate a breast and thighleg there are no bones left .and he won't eat the bread

    Well... you have two options.

    Option one is to go to your vet and get x-rays done to see where the bones are.

    Option two would be to just monitor your dog closely for any unproductive vomiting, excessive drooling, excessive need to eat grass, drinking lots of water and belly pain.

    Yes cooked chicken bones are dangerous, but dogs are designed to digest bones. He may be fine.

    If I had a dollar for every time my dogs ate chicken bones I'd be rich. I've never had a problem, and never had to go to the vet, and most times I didn't realize it soon enough to do the bread or the cottonballs.

    I agree with Lucky, you have two options. If it were me, I'd watch him closely and any sign that he's not digesting them, off to the vet.

    Next time, if you catch him, try soaking the bread in a meat broth. Realize that bread only helps if it's fed immediately after the chicken bones are eaten. If it's hours later, the bread won't do a thing.
