My inwall cold water supply ( in laundry ) is dripping even if shut off. The hookups haven't been used for years, house was foreclosure.
After I installed a washer hose ( washer and hose brandnew) , turned water on, is was dripping out of the wall hookup. I bought better hoses- the same result. I took all hoses off, and turned the water off, and now its dripping out of the water hook. It fills a full bucket in hours, I have no clue how to stop it, since the water is shut off already .
Please any help, don't want to get up in night to empty the bucket a few times.

Can you post a pic of the leaking item? Sounds like you may have a leaky packing nut? If this is the case (pics, or better description of the leak will help) simply tightening the packing nut may solve the problem.

Wow, That was fast... I made some pics with the tablet, but don't know, how to get'em in here...
I turned the main valve back on, tightened all nuts and turned the in wall water valves in laundry back on too.
I dared to start a short washing run - but had to stop it right away, the cold water was puring onto the floor -- on the second floor... pure frustration

I put my bucket on the valves again, and the dripping is
1drop per second, so it fills up very quickly.

I forgot, but don't know if it's important...
We just moved in, there were no wa/dryers, and the house hasn't been occupied for some years. Therefore, we also have no hot water in shower stall, probably clogged cartridge...
Could that be a reason at laundry hooks too ?

Thanks a lot for the comprehensive information.
Unfortunately its not working that way with the iPad. I can copy and paste all pictures out of photo file into emails only.
Nowhere else I can paste the pic into.
I shut off meanwhile the house-main- water valves, meaning no cooking, no showering, no toilet flushing - nothing.
Til the day I wanted to hook up my new washing machine, everything was fine. Then I used/ turned the hookps the first time after three years. And even after shutting in off, it keeps dripping. The only help right now is shutting the house valve entirely. Soooo frustrating. Weeks back we had a plumber in here, he wanted to charge us 180.-$ plus material, plus tax of course, just for replacing the cartridge in the shower faucet...
