    I lost 10 kg in 3 weeks
Hi! I was diagnosed with high cholesterol to be specific 5.9. and I was at 104 kg at height of 189. My Dr recommended height loss and change of diet, I changed my diet to veggies and fish, one meal a day and started cycling 10 km every day, surprisingly I lost 10 kg in 3 weeks is it normal? I am now at 93.5 I am aiming to be at 86 kg. I am 39 yrs.

When your doctor recommended weight loss, I am sure eating one meal a day was not the idea. You should be able to eat three meals a day with healthy foods and exercise and still lose weight. When do you return for another visit with your doctor?

Add heallthy foods to your diet so you are not starving your body. Try oatmeal, fruit, yogurt for breakfast and a salad with protein at lunch. Add other heallthy, low cholesterol foods to your current diet, which is seriously lacking in calories. If you lose weight slowly and in a healthy way, your weight will stay off. Drink a lot of water, also!

I was advice by the Dr then to avoid food rich in starch, dairy products white bread and food rich in sugar, I do drink a lot of water at the moment about 3 litter a day and that cause to visit the loo a bit too much.

Oatmeal lowers cholesterol. Breads with whole grains are rich in fiber and good for you. Yes, check sugar levels on all foods. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Avoid all preservatives.

Good! But should my weight continue to go down at this trend will it cause any harm? And how should I adjust when I reach my goal of 86 kg?

You will lose weight if you continue to eat well. But, you shouldn't lose it at such a rapid pace. It is better to lose slowly.
