    Abandonment in marriage in Oregon
We married in 1971 in California. In 1975 we moved to Oregon with 2 young boys. There I had two more children with my husband one born with downs syndrome. About 1984 he disappeared without saying a word so I lost the home we were building and had to get welfare (thank heaven for that help!) and to this day we haven't heard one word from him until about a year ago found out he went to Texas and is possibly remarried and yes he committed adultry many times has an unknown amount of other children none being with him ever and when he ran from Oregon he was also obsconding from the law on drug charges, taxes, who knows. We have never received a penny, I did not complete the divorce. Are there any rights or laws or information? Thank you..

Rights, laws or information about what? A divorce? Yes. Sue him in divorce in Oregon. If you don't have his address you will need to hire an investigator to find him. If that fails the Court will issue an order to serve him by publishing a notice in a Court-recognized newspaper.

You could ask for child support if any of your children have special needs or are under age. I doubt he'll pay it - but you never know.

In a case like this bcause of the evasion it may be possible to collect child support even if the children are adults.

If you were never divorced and he, in fact remarried, that's bigamy. You can have him arrested.
