    Gender Problem
    I am 15 and I feel like I have been born the wrong person and have considered sex change and I am two afraid to talk to my parents about it because of the price and I fear that they will hate me.

    Sure, not a problem - I didn't know if you were asking for emotional support or something else.

    I do know in the US that you have to live as the other sex for a period before the surgery is done.

    Let me see what I can find.

    Gender Reassignment surgery is NOT available to minors.
    You must demonstrate the underlying requirement by living as the opposing gender for several years while under going evaluation and hormone treatment.

    Is there someone you could talk to, for example a youth pastor or school counsellor or someone who wouldn't be judgmental.

    I think the teen years are very difficult because you are changing both physically and emotionally. I see a LOT of teens questioning themselves.

    Perhaps are you just uncomfortable in general, not sexually?

    Tell us a little about yourself - can I guess Japanese and what do you like to do, hobbies?

    I have always wanted to go to Japan - so far I haven't made it.
