How do I get my dignity back?
Last year I went back to my home country to visit my friends and family. I come from a rather conservative family and I have always been quite the lady. While I was there visiting, my cousin said she would hook me up with one of her boyfriend’s friends... Let’s call the friends Mike and the boyfriend Luke. So my cousin said that I should come stay with her for the weekend and we would have a BBQ with all Luke's friends. So they come pick me up and we make the 2hr trip back to her house. She had told me how hot he was and that I was exactly his type and he would LOVE me... She had shown me a few pictures of him, so I was somewhat excited! 1. He was hot! 2. He was a pilot!
D day arrived only to find out, we would no longer be meeting him because he had gone out of town. I was gutted to say the least. The weekend turned out to be a drama! My cousin told me she actually had a crush on Mike. Luke wanted to have a threesome with me! Ug! Of course I declined! Luke and my cousin had a huge fight because my cousin said he was cheating.
Any ways I eventually went home! RELIEF! Luke text me to find out if my cousin had been cheating on him... He kept texting and calling and I refused saying it was not my place to say anything (she was cheating) but that he should go with his gut because I felt bad for the guy. Any ways, he was flying with Mike that day and asked if I’d like to come with to Mike's bbq! Of course I said yes! On the condition that he tell my cousin and offered for her to come to. I was going to meet Mike like she had planned so I didn't see the problem.
On our way to Mike's house my cousin started world war 3, saying Luke and myself were cheating, etc. etc. and she got the entire family involved! I was oblivious! I was happily going to meet Mike. When I got there is was kind of awkward but so good to meet him! We had our bbq and proceeded to watch movies. Luke sat next to me (kind of weird since he knew I was there to meet Mike). Mike asked Luke to move up and gave me a blanket. Luke then snuck under the blanket too. Urg! I made it VERY clear nothing was happening. I eventually got up and sat next to Mike... Our legs just touched but not much else. He said I just have tosay when I’m ready to go home. I asked to go home but Luke said he didn’t feel like driving and that I should sleep here. I wasn't happy and said I would prefer to go home (I don’t sleep at strangers houses).
He wouldn’t take me and eventually Mike said he would take me... I was thrilled! Finally, alone time! Nope, Luke came to. The idiot! As we walked out the door Luke said to mike, "sorry, next time I’ll bring a fun one". Clearly someone was looking for an easy lay! Luke must have told Mike that I was keen on him and other rubbish must have been said to him because after that, Mike was so weird towards me when we texted. When he dropped me at home, he opened my door and gave me the biggest hug!
So what happened! Who knows... all I know is that I lost my dignity and after almost a year I can’t stop thinking about it and feeling embarrassed... I want to message him and explain what happened and try to rebuild my name in his eyes, so he doesn’t think I’m some kind of slut!
What do you think? And what would you say to him?

I would say nothing, why, its not your fault you had idiots blocking the way. You still have your dignity, and since the guy didn't call, drop it completely, and find some better people to party with.
You ever think Mike was looking for an easy lay?? Sure he was.

Why is it so important to you? It doesn't matter what people think, much less what ONE person thinks. Get over it, move on, it happens, stuff usually does. Save yourself the drama and move on, you kept your dignity by not being an easy lay anyway. A "fun one" is usually one that a man doesn't respect.

Thank you! So true! Its just hard to carry on when I know some really bad and untrue things must have been said about me to him. i.e.. I sleep around etc etc (which is VERY UNTRUE). Its like I've been good and I've kept my name and now my cousin and Luke have told lies and ruined it... its just hard to turn a blind eye when someone thinks bad of me.

It may be hard but since you really don't know what people do behind your back, or their motives and intentions, leave them alone. Why waste energy and time of BS drama?
