    Do I pay!
    I am a live in and pay utilitys and rent.They cut my hour and gave staff those shifts.
    I'm only there 12 days a month. Should I pay 1/2 utilitys?

    You are obliged to pay whatever your lease specifies.

    Pay decution for rent.
    Im a live in caregiver and they deduct rent from my check. Should they have to have a rental agreement? And is this legal?

    No, they don't have to. Nor do they have to give you a written employment contract, although it would be good for you if you did.

    Is your landlord the same as your employer?

    If so, then you MIGHT have a case if it's in writing.

    What do you have in writing as to the terms and conditions of your occupancy?

    OP has another thread about being a live in with apparently no rental agreement.

    You should not have to pay 1/2 of anything if you only LIVE there 12 days a month, but without any contract or lease you are going to have to fight this, and perhaps quit if you can't resolve it by talking to your employer. Is it an agency or a private party?

    I've merged your threads. No they don't need a lease if your room is part of your employment contract.

    However, if your employment conditions change, then so do other conditions.

    This was my thought! I was thinking, What if they take away more hours? What if I were there 8 days out of the month. All I'm doing is paing for the roommate to kick it on my dime.
