    Your only choice is to pay it unless it's a Judgment obtained through some type of error. Then you can attempt to get the Judgment set aside.

    Verification of what? Judgment has been granted. It's too late to verify anything.

    Now you need to find grounds to set it aside (improper service is the usual one).

    This was a Judgment, turned into a lien for collection. The time to present a defense is over.
