I am hooking up a Hot tub with a max fuse size of 50 amps.
I am hooking up a hot tub rated for a 50 amps max fuse size. I already have the #8 thhn and 1/2 liquid tight flex conduit. Will the #8 wire be enough for 50 amps.

Yes, #8 copper THHN is good for 50 amps.

    I question the 1/2" flex.

Most tubs that I know of need 4 wires, in this case 3-# 8 THHN and 1 - #10 THHN for the equipment ground.

If the whip is short you may not have any problems fitting the wiring in the flex.

Thank you. I am running a sub-panel with 3 wire and running a 4-wire from the sub to the tub.

Subpanel needs a 4 wire also, otherwise what is is the 4 wire branch circuits, so your plan is flawed.

All right, I'd like to thank you guys ahead of time for the help. As you can tell from the title, I'm trying to figure out a way to hook up our new hot tub (this tub can be either 110 or 220, 220 will obviously be more powerful). I don't have any room left on the service so I was going to hook...

Hooking up hot-tub.why would there be no ground? [ 11 Answers ]

Hello, I was recently given a dimension one hot tub from a friend, and have started wiring it up. When I disconnected it from his house, the electric job seemed very nice. There was 8 gauge THHN going to the disconnect/GFCI box, and 6 gauge from there to the main panel. What was weird,...

Max AMPS, and wiring my baseboard heaters. [ 2 Answers ]

Hi, I just have a couple of questions. First I have an old 60 AMP panel in my house, and I was wondering if that means the some total of all the breakers in the box should be less than 60 amps, or if that no one breaker should be more than 60. Second. I want to wire 5 baseboard heaters in the...
