    Credit card debt after death
My father died and has left over 40 k credit card debts. Before his death my brother moved in with him as he was unable to cope alone. They lived together for 7 years until his death. We cannot repay the debts without selling his house. But my brother will not move. I do not wish to force my brother out, but still need to repay debt on estate. Do I have options? Please note I'm in the UK.

The house issue will likely be settled through the probate. His debts must be paid and that could mean the house of other assets may be sold. You can't inherit debt but probate will not dispusre any assets until all debits are settled.
