When I first met Catsmine, he had a beard and I loved it. First time I saw him without it was about six years into our relationship. He shaved it off during a job search. Then he got into pest control and no full beards allowed because of safety equipment. I really miss that beard, though. At least he still has the mustache. :)

I would guess that my feelings on beards being good (depending on the man and beard) is a result of my dad having a mustache and at times a beard (usually when on vacation).

On the job issue, I would guess that it depends on the job and whether it would get in the way.

Having a mustache, I am partial to them, actually I think they add to your look. But I have had mine since I was 22 and that was a while ago. Not sure if I would recognize myself if I shaved it off. Marta has never seen me without one, this look is all she has known.

Now, Clough, my friend, you and I have met in person, I am probably one of the few that can pass judgement on you... :)

Well if you are asking me if I (being a guy) think that Clough (being a guy) is beautiful on the outside... that's a tough one. However, I can say this he certainly isn't bad looking at all.

Now, about the 'inside' of the man called Clough... that I can testify to. He is a gentleman whose word is his bond, intelligent, very talented, sincere, loves helping people, friendly, charismatic, honest, not narcissistic at all, friendly, if he is your friend he will always be and he IS my friend... so yeah your are right 'beautiful inside' pretty much fits him.

Clough... you know my address, I will expect that check... :D:D:)

There are a few types of work where having a beard is a problem. Like jobs that require wearing a respirator. If shaving is required to interview for a job...

There are lines to be drawn between, "fitting in," personal preference, and misrepresenting one's self. When does, "everyone does it" become a pretense? Lying, in the sense that hair grows on your face, why pretend otherwise?

It's a personal decision which says a lot about you the instant anyone sees you. What's fun is that you have choices.

Gray hair and beards. [ 2 Answers ]

Hi, I'm 20 years old and my hair is graying somewhat. I can spot about 6 or 7 gray hairs at any given time just by looking at myself in a mirror. Is this a precursor to early hair loss? My dad went bald in his 30s, so I'm getting kind of scared here. Also, I can't completely grow a beard yet....
