    Noisy pipes after flushing newley fixed toilet
    We have a toilet that had a leaky seal. Six months later we fixed it, but now the pipes make a banging noise. What should we do.

    First, make sure that the toilet supply valve is fully turned on to see if that helps the banging pipe problem.

    Repairing a bad wax ring should not cause this, likely a coincidence. Put you hand on the supply pipe and flush the toilet. Could you "feel" the bang in your fingers?

    What pipes make a banging noise? The drainage when you flush or the supply pipes as you fill? Tom

    If they had no hammer noise before, then shut off valve would be a likely suspect, good job.

For the past week whenever I flush my toilet it flushes fine but sounds like a horn blowing as the flushing ends.
