Noisy pipes after flushing newley fixed toilet
We have a toilet that had a leaky seal. Six months later we fixed it, but now the pipes make a banging noise. What should we do.

First, make sure that the toilet supply valve is fully turned on to see if that helps the banging pipe problem.

Repairing a bad wax ring should not cause this, likely a coincidence. Put you hand on the supply pipe and flush the toilet. Could you "feel" the bang in your fingers?

What pipes make a banging noise? The drainage when you flush or the supply pipes as you fill? Tom

If they had no hammer noise before, then shut off valve would be a likely suspect, good job.
