I don't know all the details, I'll keep you all posted.
I'm so glad you heard from him. I was getting worried too. I do know that he keeps his phone glued to his side so it's unlike him to be so out of touch.

I do hope he gets everything figured out. :(

If you read his blog he does explain what happened.

Apparently internet service comes and goes, and it went. ;)

Poor kid. He's between a rock and a hard place right now. I hope he finds the way.

    Poor Sneezy :(

At least he still has options though, he can go back in January.
Not the end of the world, I hope he just sees it as a minor set back :)

Sneaky little bugger. I was just on the phone with him and as usual he's multi-tasking.

He sounds good, having fun, the mosquitos are eating him alive and the humidity is getting to him but he sounds happy.

He's resigned himself to coming home, so he's treating this like a vacation. Good for him. :)

    Miss him though. Tons.

    I was a worry wart, wasn't I?

He's my buddy. I adore the little brat. Don't tell him that. ;)

NH, he didn't resign, he doesn't have the tuition. He was told he could pay monthly, they decided they wanted it all up front. They didn't tell him until he was already there. He doesn't have a choice.

The good news is that he'll probably be going back in January, August at the latest. This is not the end of his dream, it's just being put on hold for a while.

Only the first few weeks will be cushy.

oh boy. So... the deal is that I come back in January... only problem is, I am trying dearly to bypass the first semester so that I can return with my friends. They'll let me bypass, if and only if I take courses when I'm back home and show that I'm not messing around...

... so when I get back, I have to take about 4 courses, possibly volunteer a little, run my business, and I'm trying to get an EMT graveyard shift... so that means my life won't be all peaches. It's OK though. Anything to be a doc, right?

I have to be honest, I've been absolutely hammered for the past 4 days. A bottle of rum (distilled here... 70% alcohol) is only $6. Seriously. A beer is about $1 a bottle. So, alcohol = very very cheap. Only problem is, everything else is UBER expensive. A pack of floss is $10... a bottle of juice is $8... forget food. I have yet to spend less than $10 a meal here. So... thus... I've been drunk for the past 4 days. Today, I woke up at 10am and decided that I will not drink anymore.

... little did I know that the student association was handing out free shots. Oy. So now, I'm going to take it easy tonight... do some laundry... etc.

I'm working on trying to buy a flight back to the states, but I can't find one for less than $2k... which is bad... since I flew down here for $350. So yeah, I'll be back guys!

Sneeze can you have a family member purchase a ticket for you from here... a rountrip would be cheaper than a one way from there... best of luck and have a BLAST while you are there. Wrap it up, let what happens there, STAY there... right?

Ok... I'm a teensy tiny bit happy though. Is that so wrong? :o

    It's more Sneezy time!

I know things will work out in the end so I'm not worried about Mr. Sneezy. This is a smart, resourceful guy with a promising future so this just allows a little more time at home to get things in order. ;)
