    Removeing Ax handle
    I know this is probably dumb but, I broke the handle on my ax this weekend-I went and got a new handle but how do get the broken one out of the head?I have beat on this thing for hours now it's making me crazy, Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

    If you have beat on it with all the weapons you have... it is time to burn it out. Build a fire and place it in the fire , this may not be the correct way but that is what I would do if all else failed... hope this helps you... good luck .

    Hi,
    I simply drill it repeatedly to weaken and knock out what remains.

    Which way are you hammering? You must drive the broken part out through the top. Drilling like crigby says will make this go a lot better.

    First cut it off flush with the bottom. Drill around the edges. Use a large dowel and drive it out through he top.

    I would have to recommend the drilling method as well. Burning the handle out could ruin the temper of the steel of the axe head
