If you have beat on it with all the weapons you have... it is time to burn it out. Build a fire and place it in the fire , this may not be the correct way but that is what I would do if all else failed... hope this helps you... good luck .

    crigby

    Hi,
I simply drill it repeatedly to weaken and knock out what remains.
    Peace,

Which way are you hammering? You must drive the broken part out through the top. Drilling like crigby says will make this go a lot better.

    KISS

First cut it off flush with the bottom. Drill around the edges. Use a large dowel and drive it out through he top.

I would have to recommend the drilling method as well. Burning the handle out could ruin the temper of the steel of the axe head

:)Thank you for your ideas, I hadn't thought about the direction I was beating the hell out of it or trying to drill it out. Thanks
