    Ceiling lights fuse melted
When my ceiling lights stop working I convinced myself to have a look at it before calling an electrician. So after turning off the main fuse box I manage to unscrew the ceiling lights down and found out that the blade fuse rated 15a has been melted. Is it OK and safe to change the fuse with a higher rated one, if so what ampere is suitable? The lights has got four 12v 20w GU4 bulb and 220v main supply. Please help. Thanks

Only use a fuse of the same or higher voltage rating and the same or lower amperage rating.

Fuses melt when they see an overcurrent condition. Sometimes just age and fatigue can cause them to fail, but sometimes a lamp that fails can cause a short circuit, causing the fuse to open (melt).
