    Freezer water line size
Since I bought my fridge, I have noticed that the flow of the water dispenser is slow compared with every other one I have encountered. It is a Kenmore. I have plastic tubing for the water line in the back. Any idea what could cause this flow problem?

Hi Philly09: The icemaker line should be 1/4".

First I would make sure this line is not kinked behind the fridge. This usually happens when you push fridge back against the wall and do not pay attention to the water line behind it. Slide fridge out, check for kinks. If you don't see any, then turn water of to the fridge, remove 1/4" from the valve. Put towel over the valve and turn it on for few seconds. See how much pressure you get.

Also, these new fridges have filters built in. These filters will slow water delivery if dirty and in a need of replacement. Change the filter. See if the flow improves.

Is your icemaker supply run from the wall behind the fridge of is its valve under the kitchen sink connected to other filters, like R.O. or Everpure H300, Aguapure... etc..

Our reefer supplies are 1/8" Id and 1/4" OD. Milo, does UPC call form a larger size. The ice maker kits sold in my area, whether copper or plastic are all 1/8th inch. Regards, Tom
