I met my wife when she was a freshman in high school and I was a sophomore, that was back in 1980, we have been together ever since. We have now been married for 21 years and together for 29 years never once breaking up. I am 44 she is 43l. This is a real rarity especially in this day and age but it happens if you are very lucky and compatible..
We met through a mutual friend who introduced us and I asked her out.
    The rest is history...

No reason to apologize.Actually there was common law marriage in N.Y.up until 1992 and then they changed it.
Too late for me and the BF but I still feel married :)

Yea, after that long there is only one thing saying that you aren't. I'm sure it feels that way.

Blind Date- I was getting a divorce and was legally separated from my husband of 22 years and I just was very lonely.Started talking to a guy that worked with me and said he knew someone that was just getting a divorce also.So my coworker told him about me and he called me up on a Tuesday night and we talked for 6 hours on the phone that night. At first we were going to meet on Friday night but because we wanted to keep talking he came over to my house on Wednesday night. The moment I saw him I knew I would marry him. That was Sept 28th,1993.We got married Jan.20,1996 and still going strong.

Yeah, we used to be embarrassed on how we met, but now we are not. I was bored at work and honestly just wanted to look on MATCH to see all the kids in my HS that turned gay. Then after that got boring, I was looking for a cute guy and found Mike! I knew the second we met that he was going to be my husband!

That's really cool. No need to be embarrassed about it though. I met my fiancé on Myspace. Haha

    Our story is almost comical.

Our mothers worked together at a hospital in New Rochelle, NY and were good friends. This must be understood since it is how it all magically happened.

My oldest brother, Bill was getting married in June of 1964. Bill had asked my middle brother Rich, who was going through Marine Corps. Basic training to be an usher for him. The two mothers then conspired to set Rich up with her daughter (they'd be so perfect together).

However, Viet Nam was in full force and the Marine Corps. Decided that there would be no leave granted until Advanced Infantry Training was over.

Rich had to miss the wedding, I got subbed and my lady and I met. I dropped like a rock for her. In July of '65 we eloped and this July we will be married 44 years.

That's our story and I'm sticking to it!

My husband was a friend of my sister's. We met a couple of times in December 2007 and then again in March 2008 at a party with my sis. She had a crush on his friend and asked me to keep him occupied. We talked awkwardly for a little bit but began to warm up. Five or six hours later we knew something big could be happening. We fell for each other after a week, though I didn't realize it myself until a couple of months later (I was in denial about love). Then in Aug. 2008 we got a place together with two other room mates and on October 16,2008 he proposed. We got married November 9th, 2008 and now are ready to start our family.

It was the worst sex ever and I couldn't remember what he looked like but he called, I got his email address had him email me some photos and ever since our official first date inseparable. We got engaged 3 months later and married the following year. A good friend of mine also met her husband 10 years ago in the same club and they are still happily married. Chemistry baby!
