    Stand pipe and trap replacement
I have an existing washing machine stand pipe and trap. The trap seems to be leaking and I want to replace the whole system with PVC. How do I connect the PVC stand pipe and trap to the existing floor pipe?

What's there now ? Is the pipe sticking out from the wall ? Or the floor ? What type of pipe are we dealing with ? Please, post this info so we can lead you though trap/stand pipe installation.

If your set up looks like this,(see image) and is cast iron tell us how the fittings are joined. By lead and okum poured and caulked joint or by No-Hub Bands. Before we can help we must know exactly what you have. Regards, Tom
