Dishwasher receives power, but nothing happens.
Our dishwasher (Kenmore) was working great, in the middle of the drying/draining process it died. But we didn't know this yet, we thought that there was a plug, and so we took off all the draining pipes and there was no clog. So I took a look at the power and it receives power, but no lights turn on, it doesn't start up or anything. Do you have any suggestions?

Check the door safety switch for proper operation. That cuts power to the unit and if defective it will not allow the dishwasher to operate or turn on.

I have checked all of that. I just went out and bought an ohms reader and I tested the wires that are coming from the house that go into the dishwasher. There was no reading, so does this mean that there would be a bad ground in the mother switchboard thing in the house? Maybe a fuse blown or something? And if you think you know what it is how do you fix one of those?

There should be power from the panel to the dishwasher 120 volts. If it is not there then the problem is between the DW and the electric panel.

I'm adding a new dishwasher to an older home. Due to space constraints, it will be a small 18 inch unit (rather than a standard size 24 inch) unit. The power requirements call for "120V 60Hz 9.0A". There is currently no power outlet or wiring under the sink / cabinet area where the DW will be...

Not married, Child Receives SSI [ 4 Answers ]

My fiancé and I are wondering who should claim our son. I worked for only 2-3 months this year, so he made way more money than me. We wanted to know if I HAVE to claim him since his SSI check comes in care of me, or if we would benefit more if my fiancé claimed him?

No power to Kenmore dishwasher [ 6 Answers ]

Yesterday, my Kenmore 665 dishwasher wouldn't get out the "clean" mode and the only operating was the drain function. I found (on here) how to reset it. That worked. It ran through a test cycle and then I ran it through a full cycle. Once completed, it shut off and now there is nothing. No...
