through some friends, I know that they must ask their probation officers for permission to leave the state they reside.

You need to confirm with your probation officer so you don't get into any legal trouble.

You need prior written permission from your PO to travel to another state. I don't think they will give you permission to leave the country, especially since you don't plan on coming back. And yes, they could detain you at the airport once they run your name in the computer if you are leaving the country.

You may be able to leave the county, but once you don't report, the PO will have a warrant out for you. So you could never come back to the US.

So if the PO or whomever is issuing a warrant for a parolee who left the country, does it mean that they can ask for extradition?
    Thanks

This should be combined with your thread - and the Court issues the extradition order, which the PO can ask for.

What kind of visa are you holding in US, is it H1b or student visa or are you a green card holder.

Hey jt809, what happened. Did you manage to get out of this country without telling your Probation officer. Did you face any problem at the airport.
I think you should have asked your probation officer, he would have had agreed to that.
Anyway please tell me what happened. How did you manage.
