Low water pressure just in kitchen sink?
I just came home from the holidays and opened my garage to an exploded hot water tank. I have a shut off valve right above it, so I was able to shut down the water going into the tank without losing water to the rest of the house. The next day was putting in the new tank, and after trying to fill the new tank, was still getting some leakage from some of the hose bibs on the top of the tank. I went into the kitchen to open the faucet to release the pressure from the system, so that I could take off the hoses and tighten them down again. Well I got everything put back together no leaks, and good water pressure from all three bathrooms and yet have weak water pressure at the kitchen sink. I did take off the screen on the faucet thinking that it would be really dirty, and it did have some pieces of rust and mineral deposits, so I cleaned those out, but still have very weak pressure. I went to the garage and took a five gallon bucket and opened up the bottom release valve on the hot water tank, to see if maybe I had a vapor lock in the system some how, and came back to the kitchen and my pressure was even weaker. Left it running and it came back to the weak stream that I had in the first place. Please help, don't know what to do, or what I did wrong.
Thanks,
Bjackson

You say you removed the Aerator and cleaned the screen correct, remove the Areator one more time turn on the water and see how is flow if is good flow you still need to clean the screen, if folw is no good then you have debris inside the faucet you have to remove the cartridge or the stem it depend on your faucet, please tell us what is the brand and the model number of your faucet, is it single hand two handle does it have a spray, Thanks.

John,
Thanks for your response. Our facet is a Price Pfister, and I don't know the model number. It is a single handle faucet. Do you mean by removing the cartridge that I have to take the whole faucet apart?? Please help explain if you can.
Thanks John

No you don't need to remove the whole faucet, open the Image below and see if your faucet looks like this, most Price Pfister are the same. Close the angle valves under the sink, remove the handle/dome the nut and the cartridge # 974-035, turn on the water for a few second this will flush your faucet, check inside the faucet for debris if any remove it, assemble your faucet and check if it works for you, if doesn't get back to me, good luck.
