    Consumer Credit Transaction Summons
 I received a "summons" for a store account from years ago. It states that I have to show up in court, but it does not give an index number nor does it have a stamp that validates the summons. Is this real? And what will happen if I don't show up?

If it is not real, you show up and you will not be on the court docket, if it is real and you don't show up, they win everything they are akng for automatically.

What is the name and citation of the US Supreme Court decision(s) stating (a)that credit card accounts are open accounts and (b) that the statute of limitations of the State in question as to credit cards is that which pertains to open accounts?

Federal law has mandated that credit cards are always considered "open accounts' although I guess some local courts like to consider them "written" as the SOL is generally longer.

You can find the name and citation of the decision under Statute of Limitations at E-Document Package - you'll have to scroll about halfway down the page but it's there.

One more thing... it was established in The Truth of Lending Act if that helps.
