    Garnishment in Md
    How much can a creditor take if you already have a judgement? I am also working w/a debt settlement attorney can the garnishment be postponed.

    If they have a judgement or even if they want a judgement they have no obligation to even work with a debt settlement attorney.

    What they can take depends on the state you live in *if in the US*
    As a general rule they can garnish 25 percent of your pay but that varies by location

    And it is not who has a judgment but who files for a garnishment first as to who gets the money ( normally)
