    Light hums with remote
I installed a harbor breeze fan with remote and no pull chains. The fan works fine but when I turn the lights on with remote, they buzz very loud and they will not go all the way out when I hit the off button on remote. Also when I have the lights on,the fan will run on high and will not shut off unless I shut lights off.I have checked the wiring over and over, pretty simple to hook up,I think all that is right. The little silver bulb tag says use a 40 watt E-13 bulb... I have yet to find this bulb thinking that was it and have looked everywhere but cannot find it.

Either it is not wired right, or the receiver is defective. What wires do you have and how is it wired?

Fan is wired black to black white to white out of supply to remote. Black to black, white to white and blue to blue from out of remote to fan wires from fan.

First, try wiring the dan without the remote to eliminate other problems. See the link above.

It's possible also you have the black/white pairs from the receiver switched.
