    Dry skin!
    Hello
I have extremely extremely dry skin, it's so awful! I always get dry skin in the winter, and it's already started. My face is dry, cracked, rough, and flaky. I hate it! Last night I did a honey mask, and it did nothing. In the morning, I just rinse my face with warm water and then moisturize it, and at night I use a ton of Olay moisturizer. I wash my face with a gentle cleanser and I exfoliate. Is there anything I can do or any product I can buy that will moisturize my face? Thanks!

Dry skin is due to a low level of sebum which makes the skin sensitive. Dryness is also exacerbated by wind, extremes of temperature and air-conditioning. Try using a mild or gentle facial cleanser when you wash your face and then apply a creamy non-comedogenic moisturizer. Since you're familiar with Olay moisturizers. There's an Olay moisturizer called "Olay Active Hydrating Cream". It's non-comedogenic, and will help moisture to soothe dry skin. Or, you can try "Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion". This a multi facial non-comedogenic moisturizer containing alpha hydroxy acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin B5 and Vitamins C & E which softens and sloughs away dry dull skin, and fades spots and discolorations.

Well like I said I'm already doing those things you told me to do, like washing with a gentle cleanser and moisturizing. But I'll check that Olay lotion out!
    Thanks! :)

Hi a really good medicinal moisturiser is Aqueous cream BP. It smells a bit weird but it does the job, no added nonsense like perfume. You can buy huge tubs from the chemist and it is really cheap.

What is the chemist? Where can I find this? Is it noncomodogenic?

Oh sorry, a pharmacy! Ah I didn't think whether it was noncomodogenic, I think it might not be, although I have never had this problem with it.
I have read in a couple of places it is not advised for acne patients as it is too greasy, so might not be what you are after.
Although I find with all skin products (I used to work in a pharmacy) that it really depends on who is using it. I would have one person telling me x was the best thing since sliced bread and another person would say it was the worst thing they ever used.

EDIT should have mentioned it is most commanly used for eczema but my mum and I have taken to using it as a general mosturiser as it is cheap and works!
