Will bankruptcy keep me out of jail?
I was divorced in Nov of '06. I agreed to pay my ex-husband $6k per month as part of divorce decree because I own my own business. I am broke now due to slow sales and I can't pay him. He has filed a contempt against me for non-payment. A lawyer said if I don't pay him I'll go to jail! What can I do?? Please help!

I don't think you will go to jail, that is rather extreme. Get you own lawyer and it sounds like you can afford it and get it ALL STRAIGHT. You are a woman, and have a supportive network going for you. On second thought, get a WOMAN LAWYER to handle this lady.!
