    Garnishment in GA
I had a truck that was stolen several years ago. I owed several thousand on the truck, the insurance company only paid off a portion of the loan leaving me with a deficiency balance. I have a judgment against me and know facing garnishment. The amount of the garnishment is $10K, but the judgment is $7k not legal fees or interest attached. I filed for a traverse and now awaiting my court date. I am work on commission and I want to know if I can be garnished in the state of GA, since I don't receive an hourly wage or salary? I don't want to file chapter 7.

    Hello Mrs.

The garnishment order only cares about your paycheck. It doesn't matter HOW that paycheck got put together. As rar as I know, Ga is NOT exempt from garnishment.
