    1991 Dodge Ram Charging System
    I am looking for a wiring diagram for the charging system on a 1991 Dodge Ram with a 360 engine. Please help?

    The battery is not staying charged and the altenator has already been replaced, also we have checked all of the grounds.

    New is an acronym for: Never Ever Worked
    Check all the fuses, power and grounds but once you've checked that, don't rule out having been sold a faulty battery.

    . Check all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter. Here's how:

    Many alternators have a "megafuse wire" going to the battery. In this case, there will be a megafuse between the alternator and the battery, so be sure to locate and test it. It's usually located on one end of the under-hood fuse box.

    . Check for codes.

    If the problem persists, have the voltage regulator tested. It's not uncommon for rebuilt alternators to fail. The voltage regulator works in conjunction with the ECM. Because of the age of the truck, the ECM may be failing. After you have ruled out all other possibilities, substitute a known-good ECM. Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable, before working on the alternator or the ECM.

    Voltage regulator is internal to the PCM
    PCM has a problem

    Hey I'm having the same problem, but I have a brand new alternator, brand new battery that isn't faulty, the alt is also working, brand new volt reg but still the battery won't take a charge I can't find the problem can someone help thanks

    . Check mega wire going from the alternator to the under hood fuse box.

    . Clean battery terminals and cable connections. Check condition of all grounds.

    . Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:
