    No Main Breaker
    Hello,

We just moved into a newly constructed house with 150 amp service installed. I just noticed that there is no main breaker installed in the panel.

I have been trying to research the need for a main but I'm confused so I would like to ask you your views on this.

Is it necessary to have a main breaker installed? I can't believe that the house would have passed the electrical inspection if a main breaker was required.

Thank you all for any help or advice you can provide.

Check where the meter is, the main CB should be there.

Thank you so much. The breaker is outside the house next to the meter but, at least, there is one. I am a complete novice with this stuff but I'm glad there are people like you out there to help people like me.

    Thanks again, tkrussel!
