    24 years of hormones!
I just wondered if you ever grow out of what I refer to as 'hormone attacks'?
This is where you feel completely overwhelmed with sadness and want to cry, your life can be going really well but then you go into indulging everything you hate about yourself.

My situation is this - I think everyone has a colourful past and those things have shaped me and the way I feel about my body. I want to be able to hold me head high and let go of bad experiences. I have a wonderful man (iAMfromHuntersBar) and when I am with him 99% of the time I forget these feelings. I am an independent person and don't want to rely on him to look after a silly bag of emotions!

    Thank you for reading...

Are you referring to PMS? If so, I used to get it so badly. I would be a mess a week before my periods. If someone looked at me wrong I'd burst into tears. After much convincing I tried acupuncture and within 2 months my more severe PMS. Now I just get slightly weepy (commercials will make me tear up) for one day.

Have you been to the doctor and had your hormones checked? I was feeling weird and hormonal and even though my tubes have been tied, the Dr. put me on the pill to get my levels evened out. I have found that daily exercise really helps, too.

Thank you that is a good idea!
I haven't been to the doctor, I have been on the pill but it didn't really help unfortunately!
I just feel like I should have grown out of this now... My life is good and I do genuinely feel annoyed at myself for feeling this way!

Join the club! It feels like once you are in your 20's you should outgrow it all. I actually found that things that never happened as a teen started coming up in my 20's. Like I never gained water weight or got weepy then BAM 20's come and get those fun new PMS issues.

Lol - It feels unfair huh?
I suppose at least I am old enough to recognize when and why I am feeling like this!

Sorry Moomin, but if you use me for living proof, it only gets worse as you get older. I have been peri-menapause since I had my daughter at 35 and you go from wanting to cry to wanting to bite the head off a nail. The BC pills helped a lot, but there are other alternatives like exercise, estrogen creams, etc.
