    Why do you have to put a pvc membrane under a vinyl kitchen floor?
    Why do you have to put a pvc membrane under a vinyl kitchen floor before putting down the aqua resistant flooring 3mm..
    Please explain .

    You don't have to do anything.. I think it's part waterproofing and part avoiding what is now considered toxic glue, plus it's a lot easier to replace.
    Isn't it just heavy mil plastic? Not expensive.
