    You could die?

Why not go back and get it taken care of? Surely that has to be on your mind. Do you think it will go away on its own?

So what did you do to the site to open it up? It has to treated to clear the infection up. Nothing is going to happen. The infection isn't from the surgery, you had after care instructions and a caste on it, did you take the caste off?

Not questioning you Tickle because I value your opinion but you have me confused....you say nothing is going to happen and that has me lost a little bit. Do you mean if untreated, that it will be ok and nothing will happen or am I reading it wrong?

There should have been a follow up doctors appointment to rmove the stitches after about 10-14 days. What was said and done then?

Please clarify, Tick. These days most doc's don't place a cast after carpal tunnel surgery, usually a splint is applied.

How do you know the infection isn't from the surgery? Do you have inside information that we don't have? Do you know for certain that there was not a breach of the sterile field? Post surgical infections are very common.

You could get gangrene and lose your limb. You could become septic and lose your life.

No doubt you are disobeying your doctors instructions and should see him ASAP, or the infection could spread and cause even more problems. You are asking for trouble.
