    The best medicine is to RELAX! Sometimes you become so stressed about getting pregnant that you can't. I know it sounds weird, but true.

    My best friend tried for almost a year to get pregnant and stressed on a daily basis about it. She would go 2 months without having a period and having negative pregnancy test, because she was so stressed out. One day I told her to STOP stressing, she was making herself and me a wreck! She did calm down a lot for about 2 months and TA DA... she got pregnant and is expecting in Aug.

    Stress alone isn't responsible I know, but you have to relax and let nature take its course. If you haven't already, go to your ob/gyn and make sure all is well with you and your spouse should also be checked out.

    Good Luck!! God Loves You!

    Please try Robitussin! I tried to conceive for two months without it and the third month I tried it and it worked. I tired taking it at least once a day the week of ovulation and three times the day before I was due to ovulate and I am now 6 weeks pregnant. I had read online that other women tried it and got pregnant right away. It will thin your cervical mucus and make the environment more conducive to the needs of the sperm so they can easily swim up the uterus into the fallopian tube and be there waiting for the egg once you ovulate.

    The following information is NOT medically recommended. However since it was suggested above, I have copied and pasted the info. It is NOT Robitussin that should be taken. But rather Guaifenesin which is an expectorant.

    "The use of Robitussin to assist conception is one of the first things that folks hear about when they start talking to others in online communities. Let's clear up the information:

    First, what you're looking for here is not Robitussin brand per se, but one particular ingredient in the cough syrup. The ingredient is guaifenesin, which is also found as the active ingredient in several other over-the-counter (OTC) cough remedies, not just the Robitussin brand. However, you'll usually hear references specifically about Robitussin use in our community.
    Guaifenesin is a systemic expectorant, which means it has properties that will loosen and thin mucus. The thought behind its use in fertility treatment is that it may assist in thinning cervical mucus, which assists sperm in reaching their destination. There are no other positive effects expected from guaifenesin's use for fertility issues, therefore, it is certainly not recommended for all situations.
    As with all medicines, even OTC ones, there are possible side effects from using guaifenesin, including
    • Diarrhea;
    • dizziness;
    • headache;
    • hives;
    • nausea or vomiting;
    • skin rash;
    • stomach pain
    While the above side effects are not common, anyone using guaifenesin should be aware of the possibilities. Since there are no conclusive studies about the positive effects of taking guaifenesin for fertility treatment, most people use the dosage recommended on the cough syrup bottle. It should be noted that this dosage is intended to loosen phlegm and mucus in the respiratory tract, and has nothing to do with cervical mucus. The syrup is ingested orally.
    Last, if you choose to use guaifenesin in cough syrup form, be sure to use a cough syrup that has no other active ingredients. For example, do not use a type that also contains a decongestant or other cold remedy.
    I strongly recommend asking your own specialist about the use of guaifenesin and any other medication or herbal preparations during conception attempts. Even substances as seemingly harmless as cough syrup can be harmful in some cases, either to your health, an unborn baby's health, or your conception attempts."

    NOW READ THIS FROM DISCOVERY HEALTH REGARDING ROBITUSSIN

    2. Drinking Robitussin before you ovulate will make you more fertile. The theory is that guaifenesin, the expectorant ingredient in Robitussin, will help thin your cervical mucus in the same way it thins the mucus in your lungs, making it easier for the sperm to swim through your cervix and reach the egg. While guaifenesin may, indeed, result in thinner mucus, it's not clear that thin mucus alone will make you more fertile. The quantity of mucus is as important as its consistency, and Robitussin will not affect this.

    AS FOR GERITOL

    Here is something I copied and pasted directly from the website of GlaxoSmithKline, the makers of Geritol

    Will the use of Geritol® increase my sex drive or fertility?
    There's no evidence that Geritol® can increase fertility and we don't make that claim.
    We're not sure how the rumor got started, but there's no truth to it.
