Can I expanding my bathroom into a walk in closet this way?
I am expanding my bathroom into a walk in closet. When I opened up the wall there is a 4" vent/drain pipe coming up from the first floor and going into the attic and I would assume out through the roof. I need to move it to another wall. Question.. Can I put an elbow beneath the floor and pipe over to the other wall? Also would I be able to do the same thing in the attic allowing me not to have to move everything over? Would this be acceptable based on code?

    Hi Cm

Is sounds like the vent stack of the home and since there are no fixtures connected into the vent above the first floor then yes, you can add the elbows without a problem!
