        Fascia Board Replaced

Fascia Board Replaced. I took the measurements. 68" long, 7" wide3/4 " thick. I just hope I do not have to rip the board. Cross cut is no problem. I wonder what the best size is and is available?

1x6, 6 ft long. 1x6 is 7 1/8 to 7 1/4 and should be what you have as it is a common size.

1 x 6? Don't you mean 1 x 8?It would have to be ripped. Attach a small length of wood onto the board as a straight edge. Two little nails would hold it enough for a circular saw.

joy is right. It would be a 1 x 8.
Cut the length you need and check to see if it is longer in width then existing fascia. It very likely is the same size.

DUH 1X8 is correct. May not have to rip depending on roof edge. Builders like to use a std. size and not rip. Sometimes they will cut a bevel at the top to match the roof slope.
