    Has my birth control failed me?
    On noristerat since jan 2012 no period since feb 2012 but lately I saw pinkish brownish discharge and I'm getting pregnancy symptoms. I took a test Saturday morning but it came back negative. Am I over reacting or am I pregnant? Please help

    No way we can answer this mystery for you. Pregnancy tests have to be administered with first morning urine at least two weeks after a missed period. You could go to the doctor or wait a few weeks and retest.

    Some bleeding between periods is not unusual particularly when you are using medications that impact your cycle. You might get some peace of mind by calling a nurse at your doctor's office and describing what you are experiencing. They can advise you based on what you're taking and your overall medical history.

    No form of birth control is 100%, pregnancy is always a possibility.

    We can't diagnose if you're pregnant or not, but it is possible.

    Wait 2 weeks, then test again using first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait another 2 weeks then get a blood test done. If it's positive, you're pregnant.
