Hampton Bay Thermostatic Remote Control Failed
I have a Hampton Bay Thermostatic Remote Control system (sensor unit installed in the base of a Hunter fan, remote has LCD with dimmable light and automatic temperature controlled fan settings). It had been working fine until this morning when my wife turned the light on. It now will not be controlled by the remote. I can use the fan through the manual pull chains, leading me to believe the wiring is still intact, but the fan will not respond to the remote. I tried changing the dip switch settings to try a different frequency for the RF communications, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Does the light stay on, or stay off?

Try wiring the fan without the remote receiver and see if you can control it with the pullchains.

The light and fan stay on and are controllable through the pull chains with the receiver wired in line. This leads me to believe everything except the wireless remote system.
