Oops, I didn't know it took that long (I was thinking it took 1-2 days for the sperm to reach the egg). Can the egg implant inside the uterus during your period? Since she'd most likely still be on her period during that phase. I wouldn't think it could implant since the uterus is shedding?

I know a woman can get pregnant if she has sex during her period, but I've always read it's because she ovulated shortly after.
I just looked up "can women ovulate during their period" (because I wasn't sure) and the answer is yes but it sounds like only when she has irregular periods. And he said her period was normal. Plus they fooled around 3 days before her period!

It would seem that, if you read them thoroughly, they're saying about the same thing. It is just colouring that seems to be different. You can ovulate during your period. You can ovulate just after your period. The defining times seem to be from ovulation to the start of the period. The period length and the time from your period to ovulation is fluid, no pun intended.

Right now it is a matter of probabilities. The chances of his sperm being in the right place at the right time. What affects this probability is when they fooled around. When she ovulates/how regular and long her cycle is. How much sperm might have gotten into her.

Considering that, based upon what he said, she probably ovulated a week before they messed around, then she had a period. So the chances are EXTREMELY low. They're there, but you would have better chance of getting attacked by a tiger.
