Even now, after you agreed with me about that being the WRONG approach, you're still clinging to it.
Now, I'm not gonna excuse my friends.. We've been here a long time together, and yes we get a bit anal at times. But, we volunteer, and we're right MOST of the time. When we don't agree, we yell at each other just like we yelled at you. It's NOT personal.
So, I'm gonna close by saying that I have NO idea where your husband can go for help. That IS the MAJOR problem with the drug war. There's no place for people like you to turn to. So, I understand WHY you and your family and friends think PRISON is where to get help... But, I'm telling you for the last time, it isn't.
If you really want to help him, look elsewhere..

Excon, I do know that prison is not the answer to getting him help. They just lock them up & forget about them. In my last reply to you I guess I didn't understand what you were saying. I thought you were tellibg me that he was beyond help. That he had been to prison twice & didn't get it so I needed to move on. Looking back at it now I get what you were saying. The reason that we all say jail is where he needs to be right now is because he is totally out of his mind & his life is in danger. This is a man who stays up for weeks at a time. He has been shot at, had many motorcycle wrecks

We are afraid that he will get killed or catch a new charge & go away for the rest of his life. I do know that prison will not help him but he will at least get clean so we can maybe get through to him. As it is now, he doesn't even know what day it is. We have tried everything else.

If that happens, it will be HIS doing, not yours. That's as simple as I can say it.

PS> Sometimes I think I'm clear when I'm not. I can see how you'd misinterpret what I said..
