Girlfriend randomly broke up with me
So me and my girlfriend were together for about a year, I'd grown to truly love and adore her physically and emotionally. We'd talk for hours on end while I was at work, and at night before she went to sleep.
I've never had many relationships in my life. I believe that she really is the one for me, we're so compatible, we like the same genres in music, art, really similar sense of humor. I feel as if I won't be whole again until I somehow get back together with her.
I've tried not talking to her, she'll send me an occasional text and I'll respond with one word answers so I don't come off over-eager. She broke up with me dec. 23rd and I don't think an hour has passed without me thinking about her.
She randomly texted me asking me "Where do you think this relationship is going" and I said I honestly couldn't answer if I saw us together 10 years from now, but I'm really happy with you. After some back and forth, she said "I don't love you, and I don't think I ever will".
It might have been the most devastating message I've ever read. I've tried going out and talking / flirting with other women, but I just can't get her out of my mind.
I might have come off over needy, I called her and told her I loved her and she kept apologizing but insisting on our breakup.
I haven't wanted to socialize, it's been effecting my work, I truly don't want to do anything anymore.

If anyone has any suggestions on if it's even possible to wou her back or any insight at all. I really could use anything at all.

Thank you so much for reading in advance.

I know it's hard to hear, but you deserve better. And by better, I mean you deserve someone that DOES love you. It sounds like she liked you a lot, but wasn't "in love" with you. That hurts, I know, but there IS someone out there that you will have all the same things and more in common with that will love you as much as you love her.

Of course, it's your life and if you want to be with her, tell her you would like to give it another . Ask her what it was that made her break up with you and see if you can make any changes. I would advise against changing yourself for someone else, but it's up to you.

Try to move on. You could be wasting time with her and miss meeting someone really great.
